Overall, in 2013 some insignificant redistribution of land between the categories took place within the Baikal Natural Territory. These changes affected all land categories: settlement lands (an increase by 2.5%), reserve lands (a reduction by 0.4%), agricultural lands (a reduction by 0.1%), industrial lands (an increase by 0.03%), specially protected lands (an increase by 0.01%), water reserve lands (a decrease by 0.003%), and forest reserve lands (a decrease by 0.001%).
The changes were mainly due to the inclusion of reserve lands in the agricultural land category.
