Conference dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Specially Protected Natural Reservations

The Baikal National Nature Reserve invites you to take part in the scientific-practical conference “The Role of research activities in the management and development of Specially Protected Natural Reservations”, dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Baikal National Nature Biosphere Reserve.

The conference will take place on October 13-14, 2019.

The event is planned to cover a wide range of topics. Among them there are issues of preserving the biological diversity of specially protected natural reservations, modern methods of assessment in monitoring studies, assessment of recreational impact on natural complexes and objects, interpretation of scientific data in environmental education and educational tourism. In addition, participants will consider scientific research as the basis for the organization of the territory protection.

Conducting research activities is a significant tradition for SPNRs. September 2019 marks 50th anniversary since the Baikal National Nature Reserve, among other things, has been solving the tasks of Public environmental education, the development of educational tourism, and the organization and conduct of scientific research.
