The Government has approved the amendments to the law concerning the protection of Lake Baikal
According to the data published on the web-site of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Government has approved the draft law which allows setting the borderlines of settlements situated on the lands of the forest reserve near Lake Baikal.
The draft law will create the legal ground for setting of borderlines of settlements formed by the forest villages situated on the lands of the forest reserve within the borderlines of the cental ecological zone of Baikal natural territory, within the borders of the territory occupied by them, which will allow solving the problems of the people living there.
The message reads: “To approve the draft federal law On Amendments being Made to the Federal Law On the Protection of Lake Baikal and to submit it to the State Duma as prescribed”.

The portal has been created for FSBI ”Informational and Analytical Center for Development of Water Bodies and Associated Properties” under the special program “Protection of Lake Baikal and Socio-Economic Development of the Baikal Natural Preserve for 2012-2020.”
