The area of agricultural land increased by 10 thous. ha for the period under review in Irkutsk region. The area of forest land (7 thous. ha) and reserve land (4.5 thous. ha) decreased. Industrial and settlement lands slightly increased.
The area of specially protected natural land increased and the area of forest land decreased to the same extent – by 3 thous. ha in 2012 compared to 2010 in the Republic of Buryatia. In addition, the area of agricultural land increased by 1.4 thous. ha and reserve land - decreased by 2.5 thous. ha. Other changes are less significant.
The area of industry land and other special-purpose land increased and the area of agricultural land decreased to the same extent - by 0.9 thous. ha in 2012 compared to 2010 in the Zabaykalsky Krai in the Baikal Natural Territory.
