More than one million people will take part in festivals, environmental education and environmental actions that are held in nature reserves and national parks of the country.

Railway volunteers from the city of Kotlas in the Arkhangelsk region worked in the Baikal Nature Reserve (Republic of Buryatia). Volunteers were engaged in landscaping at the objects of ecological tourism in Tankhoy: caring for plants at the arboretum exposition, weeding from weeds at the open-air expositions "Baikal in the palm of your Hand" and "Baikal Ferry", garbage collection on the Tankhoy Verst trail and on the shore of Lake Baikal.

In the vicinity of the village of Port Baikal, an environmental campaign "Let's save the forests of Baikal" was held. About a hundred volunteers helped the inspectors of the Baikal Forestry of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Reserved Baikal Region" to clear the protective fire-prevention strips separating the settlement from the man-made cedar forest and birch grove on the territory of the Baikal National Park (Irkutsk region).
